Introduction to basic Python syntax, data structures and data science tools. After this workshop learners will be able to:

  • Understand the basics of Python 3
  • Describe the different data types in Python
  • Execute Python code and documentation in the browser based coding tool Jupyter
  • Identify appropriate uses for Python in your research or work
  • Use Python to manipulate files and visualize data
