Data Literacy Workshop

In this first session of the fall 2021 UCLA Library Data Literacy workshop series, we will explore the role of social media business models and algorithmic data-gathering in the creation and perpetuation of misinformation. If we use social media, are we part of the problem? And if we’re part of the problem, can we be part of the solution?

The UCLA Library Data Literacy workshop series explores topics that help us understand our roles in the data economy, as both consumers of data-driven products in our daily lives and creators of data-driven research within the academy. The workshops are open to all learners and require no prior knowledge or experience.

This workshop will be offered via Zoom. If you're registered, you'll receive the Zoom invitation information the day before the workshop.

Registration has closed.
